monday...way less cool than friday...

how was your weekend?

ours was really really nice. i wish it was still happening.
not that mondays are horrible...they just aren't as cool as fridays.
anyway.

the weather was like out of a freaking movie.
i took some delicious valentine's photos of my sweet chub chub.
he was very sassy and funny. i did get mad at the end because he wouldn't look at the camera.
he was like making it a point not to.
but they turned out cute anyway.

this is all i can post for now...i don't want to give away his valentine surprise :)

we spent all day saturday at the beach celebrating my father in law's birthday.
my MIL asked him what he wanted to do for his birthday, and his sweet self said
he wanted to spend the day on the beach with his family.
he's a keeper folks!
and i married his son!

the beach was reallyreallyreally great.
ben is obsessed with the water.
it was super cold, but he was like, dad, we're going in.

the kids and their grandpa decided to build this sand fortress. 

it was very involved. 

ben tried to "help."

at the end of the day, mr. sherman and i were exhausted.

chasing after a busy 15 month old who is obsessed with everything that's NOT near where 

we wanted him to be was quite the job. it was so fun though. plus, hello, he slept like a log! 

here's like one of 4 times that he actually stayed in one place for a substantial amount of time...

meaning like 2 minutes.
